Introduction

What is a scientist like? Look at the people pictured. Can you find the scientist? Do they look any different from the other people?

Perhaps Albert Einstein looks like your idea of a scientist. Einstein, the most famous of modern scientists, once said, "I have no particular talent. I am merely inquisitive." Since Einstein was very eager to learn, he asked many questions.

Galileo also asked many questions. He was the first scientist to make practical use of the telescope. What Galileo observed in the sky changed our thinking about the earth's movement in space.

Rachel Carson, a marine scientist and writer, studied the plants and animals that live in the sea. Her many books reflect the beauty of the life in the seas and on the seashores.

Each of these scientists shared a common desire to understand the world better. Science continues to be an adventure for all those who open their minds.

Your job is to find out what it takes to be a scientist, to think and work as a scientist and then decided on a famous life scientist(alive or dead) you would like to interview if you had the chance.
