STEP 3
At this point you may want to look at all the things you will have to do for your Science project.

Science Project Checklist

  • Choose a QUESTION that you can investigate yourself.
  • Begin a PROJECT LOG where you will write down everything you do, observe and think during your investigation.
  • Form a HYPOTHESIS about what you think will happen.
  • Design an EXPERIMENT to TEST your HYPOTHESIS. Decide what MATERIALS you will need and write a PROCEDURE that explains what you will do. Make sure you follow the rules for SCIENCE SAFETY.
  • Make a TABLE to help you organize your DATA.
  • Fill out a science REASEARCH PLAN and sign it. Make sure your parents and your teacher sign it also before you begin.
  • Follow your PROCEDURE and record all the appropriate DATA.
  • Write a summary of your RESULTS.
  • Make a GRAPH of your DATA.
  • Write a CONCLUSION that will answer your QUESTION by either restating your HYPOTHESIS (if you were correct) or revising it (if you were incorrect).
  • Prepare your ORAL PRESENTATION.
  • Write your REPORT.
  • Construct your Science Project DISPLAY BOARD.
